Carroll County Fair , Westminster , MD

The fair is a county event for 4-H and FFA members to exhibit and compete with their year long projects. 1200 exhibitors will enter more than 3000 projects for competitions and displays throughout the week. For Champion exhibits, the county fair is only the beginning of achievements on the state, regional, national & world levels. The Carroll County Fair is proud to be Maryland ’s largest FREE fair. Parking and admission are free. Handicapped parking and shuttle service are available. All monies raised from concessions, raffle, cake auction and donations go to maintaining a free fair.

Maryland Alpaca Breeders Association , Westminster , MD

Over 90 area alpaca farms will be represented at the annual MABA Alpaca Celebration, Nov. 14,15, 9-3, at the Carroll County Agricultural Center in Westminster, MD. Here's your chance to see these incredibly soft animals up close as well as take in a wide variety of activities. Alpacas will be competing for best fleece and conformation as awarded under the AOBA National Certified Show System. Washington County Rural Heritage Museum , Boonsboro , MD

At the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum you will learn about our region's beginnings and history, and how our rural and agricultural heritage continue to play a role in Washington County today. Located at the Agricultural Education Center in Boonsboro, Maryland, the Rural Heritage Museum is open weekends from April through mid-December, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and available for group and school tours by appointment.
