Feederbrook Farm located in northern Baltimore County, Maryland. We are focusing on producing high quality hand spun and hand dyed yarn from our Shetlands sheep, llamas and angora goats. Our products include, hand spun yarn, sheepskins, roving and finished goods. Products are sold at a few local shows in the spring and fall, also at local yarn shops and out of a small retail studio located on the farm. Grow It Eat It , Ellicott City , MD

Our vision- One million Maryland food gardeners producing their own affordable, healthy food. This University of Maryland Extension initiative was launched in 2009 to teach Marylanders how to start and maintain vegetable, fruit, and herb gardens. Master Gardener volunteers across the state are teaching classes and workshops in an effort to increase the number and productivity of Maryland food gardens. Harman's Farm Market , Churchville , MD

Harman's Farm Market is a family-owned farm operation located in Churchville, Harford County, Maryland. We are open May through October and we specialize in warm, friendly service and quality produce. We also offer a CSA program. We grow a wide assortment of fruits and vegetables ranging from strawberries to zucchini. During the spring, we carry a variety of hanging baskets and potted plants as well as vegetable transplants. Pumpkins, school tours, and fun are the focus of the fall season. One of our growing features are our cut flowers. Flowers are cut from our fields every morning and transformed into beautiful bouquets.

Maryland Ag in the Classroom , Havre de Grace , MD

Through field trips, tours and hands-on workshops, interactive training for K-12 grade teachers demonstrates how to infuse agricultural concepts into existing curriculum and meet Maryland State Standards. Teachers receive numerous resource materials and ready to use lessons in the workshops. Students receive direct agricultural training as the mobile science labs visit schools across the state. Agriculture plays a critical role in our lives. It provides an experiential teaching tool for the core curricula of science, social studies, life skills, mathematics, and language arts. Incorporating agriculture into teaching and learning creates the foundation that students, as future citizens, need to make educated decisions regarding food choices and nutrition, community issues, land use planning, and natural resource conservation.
